Explore Richmond beginning on the CapTrail through Rocketts Landing, to Great Shiplock Park, Kanawah Canal and through the floodwall. Then to Main Street Station/17th St Farmers Market and on to Church Hill, St. John’s Church, Libby Hill, Chimborazo Park and through Gillies Creek Park. And then we’ll ride to Triple Crossing Beer in Fulton for anyone wanting to grab a quick drink or snack (on your own dime) before our final ride back to the Kul Wheels shop.
Tour Description
This guided 2.5-3 hour electric bike tour is approximately 10 miles round trip. We begin on the Virginia Capital Trail and travel west through Rocketts Landing, to the James A Buzzard River Education Center adjacent to Great Shiplock Park, and continue along the Low Line overlooking the banks of Richmond’s historic Kanawah Canal and through Richmond’s floodwall. From there we will ride to Main Street Station/17th St Farmers Market and the Richmond Slave Trail. Next we’ll effortlessly ride up to Church Hill with stops at Historic St. John’s Church (“Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death!”), Libby Hill, Chimborazo Park and through Gillies Creek Park. And then we’ll ride to Triple Crossing Beer in Fulton for anyone wanting to grab a quick drink or snack (on your own dime) before our final ride back to the Kul Wheels shop.
